Do you need help applying for health insurance? Would you like to sign up for WIC? Do you know how to get your water tested? Would you like to schedule an appointment at a clinic?
The Health Department of Northwest Michigan’s (HDNW) new website will answer these questions and more. So, take time to explore the new site and learn more about how we invest in people throughout Antrim, Charlevoix, Emmet, and Otsego counties.
In response to community needs and feedback provided from our Citizen Advisory Committee, HDNW has transformed its online presence from a traditional informational site to a dynamic and interactive platform. The website aims to enhance accessibility and engagement, providing residents with a seamless experience in accessing vital health and environmental information and resources.
Key features include:
- User-Friendly Design: The new website boasts an intuitive design, making it easier for visitors to navigate and find information quickly.
- Modern Interface: Say goodbye to the old and hello to a sleek, contemporary experience. The updated design reflects HDNW’s commitment to staying current and communicating clearly.
- Interactive Resources: Explore new tools and interactive features that empower community members to take charge of their health. From educational materials to practical resources, the website is a one-stop destination for health, wellness, and environmental information.
“The decision to update the website stems from HDNW’s dedication to serving the community better,” says Dan Thorell, HDNW Health Officer. “We understand the importance of providing accessible, user-friendly platforms, especially when it comes to health information. The redesigned website aligns with our mission to promote wellbeing and ensure that everyone can easily access the resources they need.”
“We would like to extend a special thank you to Inspiration Studio Designs for their partnership in transforming our online presence,” says Holly Campbell, HDNW Deputy Health Officer. “Their creative expertise and dedication brought our vision to life, providing our communities with a modern platform for accessing essential health information.”
With the new site in place, HDNW gains the ability to better keep the community informed about our programs and services, including breast and cervical cancer screenings, sewage and septic safety permits, drinking water and well permits, youth focused programs, Women, Infant, and Children (WIC), and much more.
